OVERVIEW:
A large professional services firm recently implemented a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. They began with a needs assessment, conducting in-person sessions with leadership and key employees to identify current challenges and training requirements. Following this, they facilitated weekly workshops with the ERP Super Users to define best practices and vital work process, such as time and expense entry.
Stonehill created detailed documentation of departmental and role specific processes and procedures was developed to support the ERP system. Additionally, the team created comprehensive training materials, including reference guides covering various aspects of the ERP system from basic navigation to invoice review and approval. They also produced engaging and easy-to-follow training videos that provided step-by-step instructions on using the ERP system.
The team designed interactive online modules featuring quizzes and helpful tips to further reinforce learning. This module was housed in the centralized training platform that is accessible to all employees. Using a variety of search keywords and phrases, employees can easily access training materials. The Stonehill team developed and implemented a knowledge repository into the preexisting training platform allowing for a seamless adoption.
RESULTS:
The implementation of the new ERP system, supported by the training and development services, led to significant improvements. Employees were able to quickly adapt to the new system, reducing the backlog and improving billing processes, which increased efficiency. Adoption of training material led to a team understanding of processes and increased efficiency.
